President
Peter Tanner has held responsible positions in government and
university R&D, international trade and industry. In
1994 he started working for Object Technology International, managing
commercial and R&D negotiations and contracts as OTI was bought by
and subsequently integrated into IBM.
Since Peter's retirement from IBM in 2007 he has done extensive
consulting for both IBM and open source organizations, including:
- helping to create Open
Health Tools,
an open source foundation that is developing an interoperable framework
for eletronic health records.
- redesigning the IP and governance policies of OpenNTF.
- managing IP issues associated with the integration of software
companies into IBM.
